Israel's Foreign Ministry ordered to 'reassess' EU involvement with Palestinians after decision to label West Bank goods; 'decision is almost completely devoid of any real significance,' official says.23:15 29.11.15 | 10 comments
and of course both groups would be happy to see Israel destroyed. But if it comes to forging a 2-state resolution their views are entirely irrelevant. Moderate Israelis and Palestinians have already drawn up a blueprint - the Geneva Accord - which deals with all the issues and is clearly acceptable to pragmatists on both sides. The views of the sort of extremists (on both sides) to whom Haaretz gives the time of day will have no part in the real debate. Although Haaretz does a good job as being a useful opposition to the Israeli government, it is a tragedy that it has to go beyond this and give space to some real Jew-haters. Anti-Semitism is alive and well and does not need extra encouragement from an Israeli newspaper. Shame on you, Haaretz.
