The bill is a disgrace. However, the good news is that this move is not only counterproductive ("Such moves may be painted as protecting Israel, but in reality, they exacerabate it´s international isolation"), it also hastens the end of the current government. Israelis care for their democracy. But my guess, today at noon July 11, is that the bill will be stopped. The alternative: tension that eventually "stops" the goverment. This is a great and altneu test for Netanyahu. If the bill goes through, then Livni will rise - and Barak would be tempted to break away. So - the ball is in Bibi´s court.
