How can there be compassion and defense of a bunch that is determined to annihilate, by whatever means, the Jewish people. Yeah, you too, Mr. Shtrasler. You make it seem like the Occupation bought on this Arab murder and terror. As if this population was full of love and friendship prior to 1967. There are many points in this article that are delusional. One must look at the thousands upon thousands that have been killed and wounded due to Arab terror. The Occupation has NOTHING to do with it. It is simply the lack of coming to grips that a Jew lives in midst of their Arabic Empire, and this Jewish presence must by wiped out, at any cost. The author, Haaretz, and Peace Now cannot face this obvious point. This is as plain as the nose on your face. The author makes it sound like Arafat was full of peace and love, and the bad Israelis caged him in the Muqata. Ask the hundreds upon thousands of Israelis who have forever been touched by Arafat's love. Bibi is totally correct.

Operation octogenarian

In 1969, veterans of the Haganah, Irgun and WWII were asked to help defend the northern communities. The media described a giant success, but archives show they were mostly asked to help with the harvest.
