For the past quarter-century Israel's universities and media have been dominated by "post-Zionists." Influenced by Israel's so-called "new historians" these people do not accept the premise that the Jews never gave up their public claim to the Land of Israel and that the land, therefore, rightfully belongs to the Jewish people. Rather, they view Israel as an outgrowth of British imperialism and a country that was stolen from its rightful Arab inhabitants. Whether one is religious or not, it is an undeniable fact that the Jews always intended to return to their own land and even the Quran acknowledges that God gave the Land of Israel to the Jews (Sura 5, verse 24 & Sura 17, verse 103). Because so many Israelis today foolishly and ignorantyly question their own right to their own country, we see an IDF less confident and less sure of itself than before. Israel is, for the first time, paying a price in blood, for letting unpatriotic "post-Zionists" control its education system.
