Not sure what Haaretz's angle is here. Playing spoil sports, being the "of so sophisticated", cultured and urbane cynics against a sincere effort by a good man at peacemaking in the Holy Land. Or is it merely that the editors and handlers of Haaretz are not picking up the clues in the zeitgeist right now. They are "behind the curve" so to speak. Oh well, at least there are plenty of other media outlets who are more in tune with what is going on.
