I am also a loyal Haaretz subscriber (print and digital) though I often feel that I read the paper to keep track of what the enemy has to say today. It is worth noting that in the values you delineate for Haaretz "freedom, democracy, pluralism and transparency" Mr. Schocken, Zionism, the Jewish People, are not included, even from your perspective of their legitimate expression. As a believer in as broad a marketplace of ideas as possible as a prerequisite to a true democracy, I wish Haaretz well. It would be nice if you and your talk back followers were a bit more receptive and open to people of opposing opinions instead of demonizing them so readily.
