I'm starting to worry about Haaretzs' future viability, as it continues to publish articles unpopular with its government. So far so good. But while reading the comments (and the ratings) in article after article, and it appears that the world is truly upset. Any article connected or related to the Israel/Palestine situation shows that more clearly than ever before. I sure hope that the militarism and right-wing power elements that run Israel at the current time, will not cut this publication off, or threaten it in any way, as Israel really needs at least one major publication that is not afraid of the right wing of its nation. Israel is going too far. It cannot continue to call everyone that criticizes it's actions a Jew-hater, or self-hating Jew, and continue to bring up and throw up the Holocaust at every invented opportunity. Not as long as the nation holds the displaced and abused .Palestinian people (I'm talking about the thousands of families that have nothing to do with any of the Hamas attacks) in a stranglehold that very much resembles what the Jews themselves have endured. As long as Israel doesn't respect the 1967 borders, and continues to restrict food, building materials, and adequate medical supplies (and stops bombing and killing hundreds or thousands innocent families), the world will not agree, nor accept the continuance on this. It looks too much like what the Jewish people had to endure themselves.
