It wasn't her "opposition" that the war that Fonda is infamous for - but rather her propaganda trip to Hanoi during the war where she was a dupe for the Commies. She opposed the war, but also made ignorant comments that the American POWs weren't being tortured, and had herself photographed on an anti-aircraft gun as if she were shooting at American planes. She eventually expressed regret for her stupidity, but the damage has been done and her reputation has been set: Fonda doesn't do her homework and probably knows nothing about Palestinian human rights atrocities and war crimes. When was the last time she was here? 20 something years ago when the Soviets released Ida Nudel? Has she been here since, or simply gets her news from unknown sources?
