I don't use facebook. I find it annoying. But that doesn't mean its crap. In fact its brilliant and responds to the pulse and values of an often lot of people. So, what conclusion to I draw from Gunter's comments. First, Gunter has very strong views and prejudies and an ego so large that he expresses his views in absolute and, in my view, unreflective terms. Seond, Gunter;s suggestion that Facebook is crap implies that the millions that follow and use Facebook are shallow/have improper values/ or are themselves crap. I would suggest that Gunter's comments condemn Gunter himself. He is intolerant and full of himself. He has failed to acqure the wisdom that the years imbue on most people. I'm glad that Gunter so quickly condems Israel. I want Israel's critics to to have the intellectual &/or psychological weakness that Gunter has.

from the article: Facebook is 'crap,' says Gunter Grass
