The word Haredim needs defining here. Chabad and Breslav, for example, are not yeshiva-bound. They work for a living and accept subjects like English and maths in their curricula. In Israel, to the best of my knowledge, they are not involved as political parties in elections. In matters of family values, religious practice they could be cal;led fundamentalist , but they rae pragmatic with regard to the media and modern communications technology, censoring what they think inappropriate, especially where children are involved. In this last respect they are, in my opinion, quite justified. (I am Msorati but have a daughter and and grandchildren who are Chabad.
