Yes some moronic people in this forum have actually said that the US Congress is "almost 100% under the control of Israel". Like this is indicative of that absurdly false claim. I promise you if that were true things would be vastly different for Israel. The PA going to the UN and the UN in some manner granting some recognition of statehood to the PA while they continue to refuse to negotiate with Israel is completely against US policy and clearly against the interests of the vast majority of the American people. Continue at your peril. The US did this before and should continue to make it our policy. The Palestinians will also lose the half billion in aid they actually receive from the US, not the imaginary aid promised from their Arab bretheren. Tthe King of Jordan has also now told Abbas to stop his premature bid for statehood. I suggest Abbas listen to him or continue at the peril of his people. The UN vote will de facto change nothing on the ground but will in the end harm their chances for a state and hurt them in the interim. This is a fools errand. The smart move is to get real, be honest with his people about their claims to a nonexistant "right of return", and sit down with the representatives of the nation state of the Jewish people and make peace. Give your people and the rest of the world a break; just do it!
