    Israel would love an even larger American presence in the middle east, beacuse the American troops act as a buffer for Israel. Obama's mandate is to remove the American troops from the mideast, not increase them. Additionally, the American military has already been stretched thin by the current conflicts. Iran poses no current threat to America or American interests. If, at some future point, Iran does pose a threat to America or American interests, America has the ablility to deal with it. Starting a war with Iran is in nobodies interest and will simply bring about those things that the war is supposed to halt. Israel's supporters always consider it profitable to have America attack Israel's enemies.
