We all want peace and freedom, but it becomes incresasingly difficult to expect that we can have that at the expense of the freedom of others. It is true that Palestinian people have the right to see their family members and to live together rather than apart. There cannot be a law that forces families to disintegrate, or to live in separate parts of the West bank in the hope that Israeli citizens will be left alone. Family life is a right that everyone should have. The right to have a job is another. Both require freedom of movement, and restricting movement, as Lieberman has suggested, is not likely to help us in the longterm.
