I'm sure most of your readers are moved by Mr. Gould's predicament. Yet, even he must realize that Israel cannot conduct its policies - even those involving the Israel Palestine or Arab Israel conflict (so little to do with British interests) to humor the English. Israel has to balance the history of its relationship with the vast Arab countries that surround it and the attitude that those countries have toward Israel today, with the security risks they'll be taking by giving the West Bank to the Palestinians. Israel's earlier gifts of land for peace have seen little return for its investments. Does Gould think we should make these kind of decisions to please the British? Look to the harm you caused Jews in Palestine during your mandate there. Look to the Falklands Mr. Gould, before giving us your smug, unsought advice.
