perhaps you could elaborate on exactly who is "the rest of us". who are you, for one thing? and what is "the greater whole" you speak of? let's take the planet earth as a "whole", as you say. those pesky italians have STILL not assimilated into the whole! neither have the japanese! nor the christians! nor…. And what about muslims? there are still more christians in the world, so i guess you expect the muslims to "intermarry and integrate and disappear over time", especially the ones that live in north america and europe. and palestinians? i guess you think they should already be gone! absorbed! for one thing, they're not even a nation, historically speaking, until the last 100 years, tops. they don't even have their own name for themselves (as i'm sure you're aware, "palestine" is the name given to that area by the romans—not invented by the people to whom it refers). in addition, they already have a country—it's called jordan (also a modern invention), whose population is mostly…palestinians. so i guess you think the palestinians in the west bank and gaza should either move to jordan, or convert to judaism and integrate and disappear into the israeli whole. did i get that right?
