School in Sheikh Jarrah 'could constitute a threat to the facility and its combatants,' state says. NGO: 'The government has found a new excuse to prevent building schools in East Jerusalem.'00:01 11.02.16 | 0 comments
you all are absolutely right that Gaza wasn't Israel's to give... but if I understand the argument to end the occupation and withdraw Israel from the Palestinian territories correctly, what you are asking is for Israel to "give" these territories back. if it is not ours to "give back" in the first place, than Palestinians are forever justified in attacking israel post-withdrawal. "it was never theres to give back in the first place, we are attacking them for retribution and justice!" is that what you are asking? Please understand that the withdrawal of Gaza was EXACTLY what Palestinian activists are asking of Israel, to withdraw immediately! to end the occupation! NOW! well, i think Gaza is a good example of how Israel should not withdraw and end the occupation immediately, it should negotiate a withdrawal and cooperate with the Palestinian government for the withdrawal, etc. If the Palestinian democratically elected government refuses to recognize israel, and vows itself to destroy the state of Israel before we they won the elections, and before we withdrew from Gaza, perhaps "ending the occupation" is a pipe dream that takes cooperation, negotiation, and peace talks to solve. i desire for Israel to withdraw from Palestinian territories and negotiate a final status agreement... but to ask for a complete withdrawal and end to the occupation NOW! PERIOD! ITS NOT ISRAEL's IN THE FIRST PLACE! is asking for Gaza 2.0, whether you like it or not, and more ignorant than Ahmedinejad calling for Ghaddafi to "stop suppressing Arab demonstrations and protests"
