I first met Rick in Israel when we were studying there. Later we met again when he was in Brooklyn Heights synagogue and friends of ours were members. They loved him, he helped invigorate and lead their temple to being an active, thoughtful and DOING community. Great choice for American Jewry. Time for all of us to wake up and try new/ old paradigms.... which he seems to have been successful in doing. Bravo.
