This is what I witnessed some 20 years ago at the ministry of interior in Tel Aviv KolHaShalom building when I had to extend my visa: a Danish girl in front of me was unbelievably maniced by the office clerk who insisted she should write her religion in her documents, the girl however replied she has no religion, neither did her parents in Denmark. No no no, impossible yelled the clerk, the girl ended up in tears and was refused an extension of her papers. Why is it so hard to understand that not all people on this planet are connected to a religion?!!! even if one is born into a home with a cross, magen david, half moon, ohm sign or whatever, one can still decide not to follow the religion of the parents. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom which is not possible in Israel, such a shame !!
