I am glad Yotam Feldman is freed. At worst he is guilty of overly enthusiastic journalism. I am glad that the Egyptian authorities have shown common sense. I am also glad he was not simply shot as Egyptians often do while enforcing their Treaty Obligations to protect the Israeli border. The curious thing which goes unsaid is why so many Africans have believed the propaganda about Darfur to believe they have a future in Israel. Was Feldman trying to prove that Egypt was negligent? Was he trying to show the desperation of refugees? Was he out to promote his own career? I don't care. I am just glad he is free.
