"Peretz struck down a proposal for widening attacks on Gaza during a meeting with senior IDF and Shin Bet officials Sunday, saying it would be sufficient to stick to targeted attacks on Qassam launching sites. He warned, however, that if the barrage of rockets continued, the responses would become harsher." - Haaretz Good idea. Half the world suspects Israel wanted to have an excuse to reoccupy Gaza. Much of the rest feels certain Israel targeted that poor family to put an end to any hope for peace and justify reoccupying Gaza. I can't see how a major operation in Gaza would help, it can only hurt. By waiting, a disconnect between the tragedy on the beach and a defensive move by Israel can be made. Israel has to live in the world, and it needs to be able to trade with the world.
