Just got back from NYC vacation with kids and one of the great venues for them to have learned about was the UN and its global mandate in dealing with regions of crisis - the Middle East is high priority and that's the UN's responsibility! I think it's not utilized properly on behalf of those who require such assistance. Diplomacy is the better alternative to violent conflict and it's always been the case when there's a will by nations in conflict.
