This is very normal behaviour from Palestinian Arab families. I have previously lived in Occupied Palestine for almost a year and the Palestinian people are some of the most welcomimg/kind people I've met, not just to me as an international but also to Jews and Israelis. One of my Jewish American friends who lived in the OPT for a year had exactly the same experience. I have invited Israeli friends to come and visit with me & they were welcomed with open arms by my Palestinian friends. They were treated with courtesy, kindness and afterwards both both told me how much they had enjoyed each others company. Unfortuantely, this rarely makes the news, instead, you end up with hateful racist things being said bout Arabs and Palestinians that they will kill all Jews etc. Palestinians hate the brutality of the occpation, they don't hate all Jews. There is a difference. No person like to have their human rights and dignity destroyed.
