The belief that the so called "settlements" are the obstacle to peace are unfounded and mistaken. The opposite is true. The so called "settlements" are the recipe for lasting peace. Without security there will be no peace and look around there is no security in the region where there are no Jewish communities. Look at Gaza, look at Lebanon, look at Syria and look at Egypt and Sinai. These areas are overrun with Islamic terrorist. Look at what some call West Bank, it was full of Arab soldiers and terrorist pre-1967 and today there is relative calm. Look at Jerusalem pre-1967, it was divided and snipers roamed free and murdered innocents as they did in the early 2000s when Israel mistakenly handed control over to the PLO. Now we have a security fence, Jewish communities and the only rockets fall from where the IDF withdrew namely Gaza and South Lebanon. These are proof that withdrawals invite more terror and more violence which is tragic for both people.
