Hello Gil, It's one thing to have a local dump close by but it is another thing altogether to be accepting garbage from people in other areas (esp settlers ) and to be inhaling their fumes and toxins from their burning and have them spead to where people live, children go to school and Olive groves & farm land. That's not right and must stop. I am glad to hear some of the Jewish municipalities are cracking down on those who run the junkyard business, Still, Ias you said there's widespread problems in Arab villages . Now why can't you help out Amira instead of criticizing her. I don't doubt for a minute she knows exactly what she is writing about. (So what if she is off by a couple of meters. ) Plus she has first hand access to the problems and those who live with them and those who are trying to change things. Perhaps you can get the civil administration moving and request long- er crossing periods to get rid of some of the garbage mountaining up in Ramallah moving. Dutch
