    Palistine is a coastal country the size of Belgium, @ the beginning of the 20th Century it had a population 5%Jewish and 95% Arab. This land was originally occupied by the Canaanites who came form the Arabian Peninsula around 3000BC Lasted about 1500yrs it was called the land of Canaan. Al-Yaboussiyoun was the tribs name, Jerusalem was called Yabous. The hebrews came after the days of Moses. Bin Noun conquered Jericho,the rest of the land remained in Canaanite hands until the days of the prophit David,1000bc. Whith his great son Soloman established a jewish kingdom. It only lasted 70yrs. Nabukhadnassar from Caledonia conquered Jerusalem in the yr 597BC and sent the jews packing to prison in Babel Iraq. Later the Romans conquerd Jerusalem until the Umayayyads, the Abbasiyads and the Crusaders 1099-1187AD Ottoman empire untill 1920AD. At the end of WW1 the Brits took control. It was called Palistine 1187-1948. There was always some superpower ruling over the people of this land.
