I think you are confusing press freedom with freedom of information. We have a freedom of Information act which makes it much easier to identify matters spoken of above. also, it is irrelevant what less democratic nations do if Israel wants to try and adopt the moral high-ground. too many talk-backs use the school-yard argument "" what about-?, but who wants their country to be compared with basket cases? This article does the opposite, and that is the only way any country can raise its standards. Anyway, another enlightening offering from Haaretz, so thanks people.
