Segregation laws were in the southern states of the United States such as Alabama and Mississippi. There were no segregation laws in the State of New York, and yes, I supported the civil rights movement as did many other people. If those kind of laws existed in NYC, then the struggle for civil rights would have gone on here also, but the struggle was down south which is where Martin Luther King came from and Rosa Parks.
