News like these are hardly discussed in German top news. Its mostly about "unconditional support", so Germans know near nothing about the government's critical statements. Personally I'm pleased to hear them. Whether left or right: any gov. has strong positions which might be called leftist in Israel. A welcome change for Merkel which too often seems to have no opinions at all! BTW Haaretz' pictures of Merkel are just wonderful: she mostly looks like being hit on the foot, while German news always show her smiling moronically...
