what Israel should not forget is what it will stand to loose if this adventure in Gaza is not handled well. The US remains a friend but tired and worn out from loosing too many of its young soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.....if Israel is seen to be the aggressor , bully, and civilian casualties are more than the tolerable few, if these casualties are paraded to undermine non-arab opinion, Israel can only expect what few friends it has to take a step back and keep distance to avoid political collateral damage. Unless Israel can be certain that its overland incursion will successfully neutralize all the rockets aimed at it for some time to come , especially if they are preparing to take out Iranian nuclear assets, then they should be wary of the Gaza trap....Take the route of peacemakers, there is no future in broaching violence....In any event, while Israel has always been the masters of their own security, there will come a time when Israel will have to seek its friends to secure its existence....Iran can't be the only problem.... it is in fact the beginning of many problems to face Israel.... no one will protect the brat and bully, but somewhere out there may be some one willing to die for a friend!!
