Hamas is putting Palestinians in harms way. They have total disregard for their own people. Their intolerant militant ideology is more important than the welfare of their people. Hamas leaders should be indicted for war crimes, for engaging in military attacks from their population centers and thus putting civilians in danger of predictable and foreseeable counter attacks. They are purposefully attacking a vastly superior force for no other purpose than to incite a military response on de facto civilian areas. As a legal matter, through one's actions knowingly putting other people at risk of foreseeable mortal consequence has to be a crime. The longer Israel refrains from further action, the more apparent Hamas' cynicism will be clear. Hamas is a one trick pony, just like Hezbollah. There one and only purpose for being is aggression toward the jewish state and identity. The best strategy I believe, is to lay an absolute siege on Gaza except food, water, medical, educational supplies, and anything else their dear oil-rich Arab Muslim brethren would care to provide them - EXCEPT ARMS. All supplies will go through Israel and U.N. inspection on Israeli soil. There will be no more Hezbollah, Iranian, Sudanese rockets going in. When Hamas peters out, then what? When they have to negotiate, what will they negotiate for? That's the question Hamas has to answer. So far they have answered it with undeviating resolve to see the destruction of the Israel, even if they have to seen every last man, woman and child in Gaza killed in the name of thier cause. That's who you're dealing with.
