How evil the family Somosa was, is beside the point. Saddam Hussein and his family were worse in every respect. However the overthrow from outside of the Somosas (and the resulting breaking of the international law) was applauded, and that of Saddam was not. Regarding the 'sin' of a regime being installed by someone else, one can only remind that all East European regimes were installed by the USSR and no one (of political relevance) called for their removal by foreing invasion or otherwise. Ont the contrary, those of Mr. Levy's ilk wehementy advocated, for example, the international recognition of the East German regime, a puppet regime par exellence.
