The criticism I have for that generation, the 50's and 60's is the very low appreciation for Mizrahi Jewry's culture, and the pushy attitude to "free them" from their customs. That was very wrong. Fortunately, in recent years, that great unfairness has been tried to heal with music, tradition, appreciation for it. Yair Dalal and Ahinoam Nini are among the many examples.
