Associates close to Netanyahu and Ya'alon called draft review of Operation Protective Edge 'an unserious report that reeks of politicking.'12:47 06.05.16 | 0 comments
Howdy Gabe1; It just isn't practical for Israel to maintain the defense of isolated settlements on the Palestinian side of the security barrier, but it is possible for her to retain (and to eventually annex) about 8% of the West Bank adjacent to Israel where the large settlement blocs are located. I realize that you consider Judea and Samaria to be "Jewish sovereign land", but what do you intend to do with 2.5 million hostile Palestinians who are living there? You can't kill them all. You can't deport them all. And you sure as hell don't want to be responsible for their welfare anymore. Israel needs to consolidate her defensive perimeters like she did with the Gaza Strip 18 mo. ago. By doing so, Israel can reduce the length of her defensive perimeters from about 3,000 Km down to about 800 Km. (749 Km. in the West Bank and 51 Km. in the Gaza Strip. Then, Israel needs to remove all of her civilian citizens who happen to be on the "wrong" side of the fence to the "right" side of it.
