Had this agreement which has unfortunately faded away from our memories succeeded, there would've been no intifada, Jordan would've not disengaged from the West Bank in 1988 and Israel would've not had no negotiate with Arafat in 1993. Thus, everytime I hear right-wingers blaming the left for the so-called ''Oslo catastrophe'', they should be reminded that they were the ones who made Oslo inescapable by destroying the London agreement. And now that we have Abbas who is willing to negotiate a two-state solution, Netanyahu wasting the same opportunity we had in 1987. Unfortunately, because of Likud's stupidity, in a few years from now, we may find ourselves negotiating with Hamas instead!
