only 40% of Russian soldiers POW were alive when the war came to an end. Considering approximately even count of POW's on the two sides one can appreciate the practical side of opinion of Western person with regards to soldier's life... someone else's soldier life. So, it's hard to blame Haaretz for merely being honest. We are democratic and humanistic... aren't we? I mean, golly, what am I talking about, those were soldiers, weren't they. Let's change teh subject to ghulag and Stalin's atrocities... fast.
