A tragedy waiting to happen, that's what we see in Egypt, and in those countries still struggling towards their own new-found sense of freedom. To have believed that a Western-style democracy would evolve in a few months out of the chaos of the Egyptian freedom movment, was foolishness accompanied by blindness to the realities of religious and racial hatred that continue to drive these fledgling societies. Don't let the modern technology, and internet co-ordinated youth movements fool you; these cultures are still in the dark ages when it comes to understanding parlimentary systems, and the concept of individual freedom and responsibility to the whole. Racial hatred and religious bigotry does not become acceptance simply because it's wrapped up in the rhetoric of the Freedom Fighter. Let him that stands, take heed lest he fall...
