Hamas is under pressure twice over, from both the worsening domestic situation in the Strip and the militant organization potentially losing its main threat against Israel.23:32 03.05.16 | 0 comments
Everybody should be very careful about this issue. But not only because it can lead some Jews to biological explanations for exclusions and nationalism, and some non-Jews to antisemitism. It is indeed very easy to conclude very different things from a scientific study, and from this one as well. Just read what the author says : "about 80% of Jewish males and 50% of Jewish females trace their ancestry back to the Middle East"... From this point, you can think that there's a Jewish biological ethnicity. But from it too, you can think that there's NO Jewish ethnicity : if 50 % of Jewish females can't trace this ancestry, it means this ancestry is not what makes a Jew Jewish.
