In my opinion, both the Democratic and Republican parties have their fringe, and these fringes tend to be anti-Israel. E.g. Cynthia McKinney for the Democrats and Ron Paul for the Republicans. On one hand these fringes cab sometimes be uncomfortably large. But on the other hand, neither fringe is strongly represented in Congress, by the President, or by his Republican challenger. Therefore, I don't judge the parties by their fringes, I judge the parties by what their true representatives do.
