Sounds more like the person who wrote this offensive article is the one "grappling with his past". Greeks had nothing to do with the Holocaust. Greece was one of the few countries that actually militarily confronted the Nazis early in the war. It is not Greece's moral obligation to "finally" commemorate the Holocaust anymore than it is Israel's to "finally" commemorate specifically Greeks that were murdered by Nazis. What should be remembered is the war and why it happened, least the same mistakes are repeated. We are not there yet but I do sincerely hope relations between Israel and Greece can grow into a real friendship but these sorts of offensive manipulative articles directed at Greeks isn't the way to do it. Shalom to any of our Jewish friends that don't sound like the person who wrote this offensive article.
