The problem with that line of argument is that US foreign policy is only as effective as the money it gives to Israel's and its own enemies, in order to keep them sweet. As for the US' security at home, that is only as strong as the American people's tolerance of the intolerable situation where the US has become ever more authoritarian towards its own citizens, yet is a refuge for the fifth column activists, such as CAIR, of the world's most intolerant people. Israel is a friend to be treasured, not an enemy to be held close.
