The French law will be overturned in the European Court of Human Rights. I'm not saying whether I think this is right or wrong - I'm torn on this issue. Just a statement of fact. There is no way it will be compatible with international human rights law. The veil ban was upheld in Turkey at the ECtHR but the situation there was held to be exceptional and one that went to the heart of national identity and security. The same will not apply to France where the number of women wearing the full Burqa was in the low 100s.
