I explained how Halakha is the ROOT of the problem, by distinguishing between laws for Jews and gentiles. This is no interpretation, but accepted by all. Once you have this roots, interpretation can get you in many directions, and some will extend the distinction. Incidentally, did any rabbi object to the book on halakhic grounds? They can't because these rulings are really rooted in Halakha.
