Frank, Before posting something, perhaps it's not a bad idea first check what you write. Israel does not restrict its Arab-Israelis from serving in the IDF. Several of Israel's high-ranking generals, are in fact members of the Druze minority. All Druze are drafted. Israeli Arabs are free to volunteer in the army and some of them do so - recently among several Israeli soldiers killed, one was an Arab Christian. "Sold them to the Soviet Union" - where did you read this, in the National Enquirer or one of those supermarket tabloids ? Israel was a sworn enemy of Soviet Union. It was the Israelis who brought captured Russian-made state-of-the-art tanks & planes over to us. The allegation was that the docs Pollard delivered to his handlers got somehow into the hands of a Soviet spy in Israel. Traitor is a traitor, treason is treason, but I hardly have a doubt that our government spies on Israelis - they would keep it quiet even if they'd catch one.
