Mr. Foxman's view of the world is only through 'traditional' Jewish eyes, values, fears and aspirations. It is exactly what is not neeeded to resolve today's problems in either Israel, the Middle East or the rest of the world. In addition, his insuppressible Republican leanings have made him a leader in propagating the politically explosive untruth that the Obama administration's openness to dialog with all parties to the disastrous mess that is the Middle East means that the president is 'anti-Israel' - a silly notion indeed. Mr. Foxman adds nothing but negative emotion to any debate on viable options for the region. His Manichaean views are harmful to all, and they preclude open, rational problem-solving. Anyone who sees no link whatever between Israeli abuses, perceived or actual, of the Arab population within and on its borders and the intensity of anti-Americanism in the Moslem world is not living in the same world with the rest of us.
