What is forgotten is that the UN withdrew its troops as soon as Nasser requested it even though their stationing was part of a tripartite agreement. It is also forgotten that Nasser threatened to “THROW THE JEWS INTO THE SEA” and not from Judea and Samaria but uncontested Israel. In that effort a circle was formed with Syria and Jordan and although Jordan was warned through the good offices of the USA., Hussein could smell blood and more Land. What is forgotten is that Jordan made Judea and Samaria Judenrein just as the Balestinians want NOW. So was the day war all about. Was it about recovering Judea and Samaria. No. It was about the OCCUPATION, Just as it is today, the occupation by Jews in any part of the MIDDLE EAST. What is forgotten that it was an existential threat no less than it is today. What is forgotten is the destruction by Jordan of Jewish history and the use of cemetery stones for toilets., the destruction of ancient synagogues and the failure to allow Jews religious rights in their Holy city. But as some will say this is ancient history and the Arabs have changed as they now want to co-exist. Than why the terrorism and why the destruction in Gaza after Jews left. Because it is not about Land –It is about Jews not allowed to live in the ME under their own rule. In conclusion my warmest wishes to the state of Israel on the anniversary of the greatest victory and my sincerest remembrance for the soldiers and civilians that died in all wars defending Israel with special note for the heroic ones that fell on all fronts in the 6 days war. IDF YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!
