Google has been linking to Ha'retz & Ynet for the past few days on their news page. Hundreds of thousands, if not more, Americans have seen anti-US headlines from the newspapers, as well as anti-American sentiment in the comments section. I don't know if the average Israeli is aware of it, but the US sends Israel BILLIONS (yes, you read it- BILLIONS) of dollars worth of aid in cash and weapons (advanced weapons, ones that Israel might want/need to turn Iran into a parkinglot). So, with all this anti-US sentiment, the US people are wondering why, in a recession, we are sending so many resources to a country that apparently dislikes us. It's secondary that Israel's ultra-conservatives are starting to behave in ways that mirror the jihadi & the nazi- using both G-d & nationalism as excuses to kick "undesirables" out of their homes, purge the land of them, fence them in, etc. But most importantly, the phrase "don't bite the hand that feeds you" comes to mind
