There is far too many language teachers who are simply bad teachers, my son had one recently, and I had to employ a private teacher. My daughter had a well qualified math teacher who could not teach - the students could not understand her explanations- simply because her hebrew was so poor. Again, private lessons to grasp concepts she failed to get across was needed. MOst of this is also because of the TV and movie generation. Children do not read as they should and the first time they have heard of a classic is as a movie. Reading and good teachers are the most effective tools.
