Hillary Clinton seems to be the most irrelevant US Secretary of State in recent memory. She has no guiding geopolitical concepts and ideas, and consequently contributes nothing of value to US foreign policy. In troubled areas, Pres. Obama has his special envoys, and Hillary is out of the game. The only recent Secretary of State so irrelevant seems to have been Nixon's William Rogers (some 30 years ago), and he was chosen because Nixon wanted to run the affairs of the world himself. The present speech is an example of some empty declaration of no useful consequence. The Iran problem today is their nuclear program, and the main promoter seems to be Ahmadinejad, with the enthusiastic support of the Supreme Leader. Nothing to do with the Revolutionary Guard's influence. What? Ahmadinejad doesn't want the program but can't stand up to the "military dictatorship"? Poor man. Perhaps the world should pity him instead of denouncing him...
