For once I tend to agree with Gideon Levy, because any war , just or unjust, always unites countrymen behind their leaders (the Germans did behind Hitler, and other examples in history). However, the risk still remains that Iran does develop its nukes and use them against Israel. So, my question is , which is the best of a bad bargain: to wait and see what Iran does and risk their sudden attack on Israel, and pay the price of big damage and loss of lives before reacting, or take defensive action ( meaning, somehow destroy their nuke factories) in response to Iran declaration to wipe out Israel ? Only the Israeli military can answer that. Not Gideon, nor any talkbacker, nor certainly myself. Still, If I were the Israeli PM, I would not attack but i would prepare for the forthcoming Iranian attack through their proxies Hizbolah and Syria, and then give them all Israel can, justifiably. Very risky, but not much choice.
