If the WB is so unsafe, why do settlers live there? Why do they promote tourism to the WB? You say rockets have reached Haifa and Ashekelon, the ones that struck Eilat were from Sinai, which is not WB. Clearly, the IDF cannot defend Israel from rocket attacks by holding onto the WB. You do not, however, explain why the IDF can defend Israel by moving Israelis closer to the WB, whereas the IDF cannot defend Israel when Palestinians move into the WB closer to Israel. That is what I don't get, I don't get why Palestinians moving closer to Israel in the WB is a security threat, whereas Israelis moving closer to Palestinians in the WB is a defense against security threats. It's the same thing, only in this instance it is the Israelis closing the distance between Israelis and Palestinians. If a Palestinian geographic proximity is a threat to Israel, then Israelis moving closer to the Palestinians is exposing them to the same threat which you say will result from them moving closer to Israel.
